The city of TOULON it’s located around one of the most beautiful harbours in Europe. History and architectural patterns have shaped a city with multiple identities. The “High City” of Toulon is a district with clear and airy Haussmann monuments, dating from Napoleon III, while the “Lower Town”, is an ancient medieval quarter, enlarged over the centuries… today in full mutation…
Throughout its narrow streets with ochre or pink facades, its pedestrian centre has the air of a village with its boutiques, its colourful showcases, its art galleries, its small province restaurants…
Within the Neptune Centre, erected in the heart of the city, the convention participants will enjoy a fast pedestrian access to the hotels, the shops and the harbour serving the Golden Islands (Porquerolles, Port Cros and the island of Levant)…
A little farther, the ferries for Corsica and the cruise ships await for departure…
True regional crossroads, alternative connection to 13 (Bouches du Rhône) and 06 (Alpes Maritimes), in the heart of Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur. At walking distance of: hotels, the harbour, SNCF station, and shuttles to the airports…
Thanks to the TGV (High Speed Train) connections, Toulon is easily accessible from Lyon (2 1/2 hours), Paris (4 hours) and Northern Europe.
The municipality also has : an international Airport (Toulon-Hyères), sea links to Corsica and Turkey, a motorway service to Marseille and Sophia-Antipolis, a network of bus boats (Réseau Mistral), (Mistral network), and an inter municipality network bus of 86 lines to the main commuter towns of Var (Varlib ‘).
Enjoy Gala Evenings at the Toulon Harbour, in Cape Brun, in front of the Mediterranean Sea or in a province farmhouse, the song of cicadas, shopping in the Rue des Arts, the museums, the opera house, the theatre (two national scenes)… In any season.
“Les marchés de Provence” are essential to the heritage: a simple way to discover local specialties, to immerse in the life and meet the Toulon people in the neighbourhood.
Lafayette walk market is nearby. Toulon was built between land and sea overlooked by hills (Coudon, Faron connected by a cable car, Baou de Quatre Aures, Croupatier and Mont Caume). All year round, these mountains become the framework of nature activities for all ages.
In the heart of Toulon, 10 minutes from the TGV train station and 30 min from the TOULON-HYERES Airport, the Neptune Convention Centre hosts multiple formats of professional and event like meetings.
